    drop down selections (country/state/city)

wondered how i set up an access db so that users would have a choice on forms for country/state/city where choosing country would make next field they fill in have a drop down menu with choices that only reflects choices made when they choose the previous field?

example: choosing "usa" as country will display next drop down field with 50 choices (1 for each state)

    any help appreciated

    thanks

The topic you are speaking about is called Cascading Comboboxes.

    see http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...combobox1.html
    and http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...combobox2.html

These are AC 2003, but the concepts are the same as 2007 and 2010

The second video is spot on, I didn't have to deviate at all from his example, other than my own data. I'm using Access 2013. Are you receiving an error or just not getting the correct items displayed in the combo box?

Nothing is displayed in my combo box so I'm not understanding why this isn't listing the drop down choices. It's just blank
