    Multi Use Search Form

    Hello access experts!

I have a search form that I want to be able to use on any current form (See attached). It has the combo button for the field names but I just don't know the code to automatically fill in the field name combo box with field names of the called form.

This is a piece of a much bigger db that I am trying to design.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, I had to scale the DB down to 1 table with 1 record but you will get the idea.

I have added a module to show one way to get field names.
Hope it''s useful. You can determine how to get the data into your form.

    Sorry for the late response.

I must not have had enough coffee today but I can't get this to work. I tried to put the code behind the for and tried to call it. Nothing!

Also, I have seen the links that you posted. I have tried a couple of them and the problem I have is that one of the databases we use here has 2 tables: Table 1 - 89+K records & Table 2 - 100K+ records thus making the searches in them slow.

My module just showed you how to get the field names. As I said, you can figure how to put those field names in the combo.

Your tables are NOT large. With proper indexing your search should be very fast.
