Change the number of [Location] Field to the actual name on report

    ="Summary for " & "'Location' = " & " " & [Location] & " (" & Count(*) & " " & IIf(Count(*)=1,"detail record","detail records") & ")"

NOTE: I need the number of the location to convert to the name instead i.e. 6 to Delaware.

typically you'd base the report on a query that joined the tables together, enabling you to return the name as a field.

Thanks pbaldy, I have done as you have stated i.e. "base the report on a query that joined the tables together," but unfortunately I haven't figured out how to "return the name as a field."

In design view, double click on the name field from the locations table. That will add it to the fields returned by the query and make it available to the report.
