    Hyperlinks in Tables

    Hi,

I have generated a database in Access 2013 and now am trying to split it. It happily works on a local drive with the back-end stored on a network drive.

My problem is that the tables hyperlink a lot of documents for instance every sale has a PDF invoice that is linked in the table.

When I split the database the links all work locally and therefore the documents need to be on the local machine as they are stored as, for example, invoices/12345.pdf and I now need to change them all to specific links.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I have actually managed to do it. For anybody with the same problem, before splitting the database you need to change the field in the table from a hyperlink to long text and then use the find and replace to remove the 'invoices' and replace all with 'z:\invoices'. When you change the field back to a hyperlink it will all work perfectly. You can then safely split the database.
