attendance absent count for continuous absentees

I have problem in making query for absent counts in attendance register.

    i have two tables
    1. Academic dates
    2. Attendance (includes fields Student ID, Student Name, Class, Present YES/NO,

I first generate a Academic date
Then through VBA code all students marked present a check button.

Then we unchecked for those students absent today.
Therefore I have complete students attendance for each academic day and for each students

    I already make query for:

    1. List of Students Absent today (Already Done)

I want to make a query
to generate list of students absent by grouping as under

    2. Absent from Last two academic days
    3. Absent from last three academic days and so on

Is there any solution for making a query for making report as above

I will be thankful for the help

    Regards

    Haseeb

If you are still working on this and can supply a sample database I can take a look.

Just make sure your sample database doesn't have any private information in it, zip it up and attach it using the GO ADVANCED button at the bottom of the posting area.
