Question 2013 Form not showing split form on bottom when opening in 2007

Certainly the obvious is to develop in 2007 if you have 2007 users. However, should I expect not to see a split form positioned on the bottom (or top) when developed in 2013 and opened in 2007? I can position it on the side. I have tried dropping and re-adding when on 2007. This seems to be a basic functionality that should be the same over the versions, but that a weak assumption on my part.

As far as I can remember, split form was introduced with 2007 so it should be able to show split form created in 2013. But no guarantees when it comes to backwards compatibility.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

My ability to fully analyze this is very limited, but I have found a relationship to screen resolution. I developed in Access 2013 on 1900x1200 monitor whereas a staff member with Access 2007 is at 1680x1050. When changing this staff to a different resolution, the split form was seen. The good new initially is that when changing the resolution back, the split form was still able to be seen after closing and reopening a few times. However the problem came up again, and this time the changing of resolution did not resolve this. I have created multiple new blank databases to shed any 'corruption'. My plan now is to back level to Access 2010 and copy objects to then see if the problem persists. Good news for me is that everyone should be at 2013 within a month, but this is none-the-less disappointing.

I have heard enough about 2013 that makes me not want to 'upgrade'. It really doesn't offer anything new that I can use and actually takes away stuff which disappoints many.
