    Access2007 & Access2007Runtime?

    Hello all:

Access is usually integrated in the Office, say, Access2007 is included in the Office2007.

Now there is also Access2007Runtime from Microsoft? What are the differences between it and Access2007? If one pc alredy installed an office, can install the Access2007Runtime separately? Doesn't it conflict with the Access in the Office?

    Please tell me your experience!

it is never a good idea to install two versions of anything on a machine. access is really bad too, because the program is large and complex.

runtime is nothing more than a skinny version of the complete program. for example, it is simply a smaller amount of files than those that come with the complete program. in my opinion, runtime should only be used by someone that doesn't have access already. if they do, there is no need for the runtime program.

the other thing that runtime offers is that a lot of the shortcuts are shut off (ie - right clicking to get to design view of forms)
