excel compatibility checker, file save issue

    Hi again,
i have a small issue with an excel workbook I am creating using access vba. It all works greate until i try to save the excel file using ' Excel_Workbook.Save '. it does try to save the file but it also comes up with the compatibilty checker saying that a table format may not be saved with the file. this is not a problem with the missing format, but i would like it to continue to save the file without any intervention from the user.

i know this is because of the different version of office on the various pc's we have that this can be used on.

can i save the file without the checking compatibility? do i just pick the most compatible file version and change the above to Excel_Workbook.SaveAs ?

I had this problem when I was formatting an Excel workbook using Access 2003 with Excel 2010 installed on my computer. I found the problem to be a color format I was using and when I changed the colors to Excel 2003-only colors then the problem went away. If your problem isn't with color then it is some other formatting you are doing that isn't compatible with the earlier version of Excel. If your problem is colors, I have a website address on my work computer which I can give you tomorrow.

My issue is with the list formating, i think it's to do with the new style of list that enables search options in the list rows, and the old version doesn't. i will have to live with it and work around it.
