Navigation Form load error 2489 resulting from macro on form to be added to Nav Form

I have numerous forms that have a macro in "on open" to go to a new record so you won't see the first record when the form is opened (fields are empty). When I try to add the forms to a Navigation Form, i get an error "2489- object isn't open".
The forms could be added to the Navigation Form before the macro so there wasn't a problem prior to the macro. Not a whole lot of coding or access experience but would appreciate any help.

I don't like and don't use Navigation form/control. Also don't use macros, only VBA.
