moving a access db 2003 from XP to 2007/2010 windows 7.

    Hi, Need help please.

I have transfer an access db application from a windows xp computer running access 2003 to a windows 7 running access 2007. I just copy the whole access db application folder to windows 7 in drive C: and create a shortcut path in desktop to run the application.

    The path is somewhat looks like this. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\MSACCESS.EXE" "D:\abc\abc\abc.MDE" /wrkgrp "C:\abc\abc\ABCSystem.dat"

When I run the application one of the report shows an error

function is not available in expressions in query expression "Format$([Date], "mm-dd-yyyy".

    Try:

    Format([Date], "mm-dd-yyyy")

Or don't format in queries, format in textboxes on form and report.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Ermm, i can't. It's been greyed out, no editing could be made..
The original programmer has left...overseas. I have tried to email him but the email address seems no longer in use..

Sorry, just noticed it is an mde file. You need the original mdb for design editing.
