    Converting from 2000 to 2007

I am currently running Microsoft Access 2007, and the file has somehow been saved as a 2000 format. I have attempted to re-save the file using "save as", but it gives me an error message:

"You attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user, 'Admin' ..... Try again when the database is available"

    Any Suggestions?

use MyComputer to look in the folder and see if there exists the .ldb version of the same db

this .ldb should only be open when someone is in the db. if you are absolutely positively certain that no one can possibly be in the .ldb - then right click and delete it.

you should be able to get into your db after that.

Access07 works in the .mdb or the new .accdb format. .mdb includes 2000 file version - - so that in itself is no biggie. possibly however if your db application is very old then there may be some code that needs to be tweaked.....
