Making Access use friendly name in error message

    Hello,

How can I change the name of a form field so that Access will call it by a friendly name when there's an error. See attached screenshot.

    Thanks,Click image for larger version.

    Not sure what you mean...

You can add an error handler routine and use a message box to display a custom error message.

BTW, if this is a real error message, "Date" is a reserved word in Access and shouldn't be used for object names.

Plus, it is not very descriptive. "Date" of what? Birth date, Hire date, Term date, ..??
