linked in table need refreshing in backend?

Hi the linked in table in Access is supposed to let user get the updated view of the contents if they get changed, but does it need manual intervention?

If my table is sitting on a backend server and serves other access FE clients, do I need to do something to constantly refresh the link in order everyone see the most up-to-dated changes?

Do I need to write some short script in VBA and compile it as ACE and give it to my clients so they will always see the updated view of the linked table?

Do you have some example of where an edit/update was done in the backend, and it is not visible in the frontend?
Please give more info. Unless the structure of the backend has changed, frontends linked to that backend table should see changes in the table data.

The linked in excel tables can change by its number of rows every morning. The column field number will remain the same. Will this kind of changes be automatically viewable thru the clients?
