    Saving data in wrong table

    June7,

I changed my Table to have the least amount of lookup tables in the main table. I have "Sub tables that provide me the datasets the user is allowed to select for that field. When I changed the look-up fields to the form, the data for that field is now saved in the sub table, and not in the main table as the Row ID number of the sub table. This then allows the user to see the added item in the combo box when the user selects the box on the form. What can I change to allow the lookup to display, but save in the main table?

    Thanks

Sounds like the combobox ControlSource property is set to the wrong field and may be actually editing record in the lookup table, not main table. This is why including lookup tables in form RecordSource is risky.
