    Access BE And FE

    I am new to access.

I need to make a new project with access but i need to know some informations and if they available on Microsoft access 2013 before beginning to work on it.

    Here are my requirements:

1- If this available to separate BE and FE.

2- If this available to add the database on the server (This server accessible from out) and the user can access to this by the FE software from his house but i don't want to add this on a web as (Share Point).

3- If this available to make backup to the database as binary log on MySQL or must copy the whole database to make backup.

4- One of the user's behavior is using excel to add some informations before make and sometimes the user adds more than 30 rows at the same time, he enters first row info and copy from a cell and select all cells to paste on them, can he do that by using the form on the access 2013.

1 Yes you can split a db into FE & BE

2 put the BE tables on the server, and give everyone a FE in either local drive or private network drive

    3. just copy the entire db. (easiest)

4 not sure what this is, but copy / paste from XL or data import.

Access from other locations and not web enabled require user to login in to your server. This might not be easy. VPN might work but it is notoriously unreliable connection.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    No.
Access does not work like Excel. Would have to have VBA code to accomplish this.
