One main table with multiple tables relationships

I'm trying to create a database to help me at work keep track of projects I'm working on and all the different events that happen during the project.
I want the main table to be customers, which will include the job number (as the primary key) name, address etc. Then I need other tables that have information about the building permit that will include dates city names etc and then another table that would include information on our sales people and so on, there would be maybe 5 tables that all connect back to the customer table.

I have tried this several times and keep running into problems, I'm sure it has something to do with the relationships. I'm missing something. I can create 2 tables and it works fine but once I add a 3rd it wont work.

Thanks for any help you can give.

We need something to analyse. Provide diagram of tables and relationships or the database.

Maybe this site will help you. http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/

Are you saying each customer can associate with only one job?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    Copy of database

attached is a simple version of what I want to do, once I know how to make this work I should be able to move forward adding more tables.

in the attached dbase i have 3 tables one for customer information one for the permit information and one for permit fee's. Customer is the main table.when i try to create a form it doesnt show any information and it doesnt ask me if i want the information in sub forms etc.

I figured it out! I was making everything way too complicated, reviewed the link you gave me and realized what I was doing wrong.

    Thanks
