Why am I being prompted to enter a parameter?

I have a calculated field in query design view.



weekEnding: ([entryDate]+1-Weekday([entryDate]))+7

When I return to normal view, I am being prompted to enter a parameter. Why is this?

What is [entryDate]?
Did it ask for the parameter by Name?

I searched the internet for good examples to do this. I did not find any. Most were overly complex and or incorporated other features and functions that clouded the basics of extracting and saving a page from a PDF file.
