When i create check boxes in design view, the box turns blue. if you check the box, then uncheck the box it goes back to normal. is there any other way to get rid of the blue box?

Set DefaultValue property to 0.
Is this an UNBOUND checkbox?

Well, dang!! Just went through this issue with another poster and DefaultValue was the solution. And here it is https://www.accessforums.net/forms/f...ded-46598.html
Is the checkbox BOUND to a field? Is the field a Yes/No type? Or is it UNBOUND on an UNBOUND form?
The DefaultValue is working for me regardless if the checkbox or form are BOUND or not.
