    One Client, many contacts!

    Hello everyone,

I'm designing a database which holds our Client information. However, one Client may have many different contacts. Can someone explain how to set this up? For example, when imputing a quote into the database and choosing the relevant Client, when imputing the contact, I only want the options to be the contacts to be those associated with that Client...

    Sorry for the confusing message!

    Thanks

    Jess

If I have understood your requirement correctly, I think you will need at least three tables. "tblClients" for details of clients (CoName etc), "tblContacts" for details of the contacts (ConName etc) and "tblQuotes". You may need a forth table for quote details if a quote has more than one chargeable item.
You will have a one to many relationship between tblClients and tblContacts (one company can have many contacts) and a a one to many relationship between tblClients and tblQuotes(one company can have many quotes).
If this helped, please click the star at the bottom left of this posting and add to my reputation . Many thanks.
