While Importing Change in data type

please help me out:

I have excel, which i want to import in Access, but i need data type to get changed as text when imported, how can i do that?

When importing from Excel the data type is set by the first few lines on the Excel file, you cannot change it. Import the file into a temporary table, then run a query to add the records to another table which has all the correct data types.
