    mailmerge through Access 2007

I am trying to create a macro to run a Word2007 mailmerge through Access 2007.

I am using the runapp instruction as follows:

Runapp winword g:\mailmerge.docx where g is the mapping and mailmerge.docx the item to open. This has always run successfully in Access 2003 but no longer works in 2007. (Word opens - but not the document).

I have tried placing both the Access DB and the mailmerge document in the My documents area - but with no better results. Winword opens and is looking in the right area but does not open the document. (I have set word to confirm conversion at open) - but still no luck.

    All help appreciated.

    Regards

sounds like your issue is with the document format ".docx" Try converting the document to the .doc format and see what happens.

I don't know if this is the answer - but any behavioral problem w/ Access07 I always first go to the Trust Center and make sure that the locale is trusted - - in this case where the Word doc is stored.....

Doesn't sound like a mailmerge issue per se - but just an inability to open a Word doc...that should be very do-able.....

    Smile mailmerge problem

Problem solved - it was the docx extension/word 2007 format. By saving the document in word 2003 format - all works fine. Many thanks.Regards
