Sorting on Sum Fields in Reports

Hope that someone can help out here. I have spent many hours to figure this out but not been successful.

I am trying to sort a report grouped on one variable but sorted on a total field. From reading all kinds of blogs I figured that this has to be done via a total query. I have done that but for some reason I am not able to create a report that does both Group and sort on total. I can get a report that sorts on totals but then it does not group. I can get it grouped but not sorted on scores. I have recreated a replica of a small database with the query and reports (see Attached). I am trying to get it to sort on totals by group. Thanks !!

It appears that there is only grouping set in the reports. Sorting in a query has no effect in a report. I changed one of your reports. Is it close to what you are trying to do?

Steve, Thanks for your response. I like your layout better but what I am struggling with is how to get the players listed in order of scores. In my example I would like to see the report to start with player 1, then 5, 9, 7, 8 etc. and not in order of player ID.
    Thanks,
    Frans

Not sure what you want. Can you provide an example with player number & scores (or SumOfScores)?

    Is this closer?
