    displaying date ranges.

    Hey Guys.

I was hoping for some assistance.

I have a table the stores holidays as 2 columns LeaveStartDate and LeaveEndDate.
I'm now attempting a query which has the critera >=[StartDate] for the LeaveStartDate column and the opposite for the Leave end date column. however this doesn't do what i'm wanting.

Is this possible? (i'd be supprised if it isn't) If the query prompts me to enter [StartDate] and [EndDate]. I then want to see all holidays that appear at all in this period and not just appearing in full within the date range.

to expand further because i'm often accused of not being clear.

If [StartDate] is 01/09/2014 and [EndDate] is 31/09/2014. I want to be able to see the holiday that started 28/08/2014 but ended on the 02/09/2014 and the same for the end period. If the holiday starts 20/09/2014 and ends 05/10/2014. I want to see it.

You assistance would be very much appreciated.
