    Cool Help with multi-level subtotals

I have gen a rpt with group level and category level. In detail I list transactions. Ex:

    Group 1

    Cat A
    Tx 1 12.01
    Tx 2 8.52
    Subt 20.53 bdgt 36.00
    Cat B
    Tx 3 78.84
    Subt78.84 bdgt 200.00
The rpt gen gives a bdgt total of 272.00 s/h/b 236.00, it's duplicating 36 for each detail record when there are multiple tx rcds

This seems so simple, but I'm so lost...
Thanking u in advance... I remain... whatever

Is the report RecordSource a query that includes several 1-to-many related tables? That would cause the duplication.

Might need to use subreports if you want to show detail records.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
