Form and Report handling sorted query different

I have a query that is sorted by column b.



My forms record source is this query, when I open the form the order of records is ordered just like the query, sorted by column b.

My report record source is the same query, when I open the report the order of the records is ordered by column a, which is the primary column.

Why is my report bypassing the sorting of my query?

Sorting in reports has to be set up in Sorting and Grouping. In 2003, with the report open in design view, View/Sorting and Grouping.
