    Transactions Per Date

    Background
    I know how to make a query that filters the transactions I make on a specific date.

    Question

    How do I make a record of each date's number of transactions? Monday (08/04/14): 20, Tuesday (08/05/14): 21, Wednesday (08/06/14): 17..., etc.

    Thanks

    SELECT DateField, Count(*) As HowMany
    FROM TableName
    GROUP BY DateField

    Sounds like an aggregate (Group By) Totals query.

    SELECT [datefield], Count(*) As CountTrans FROM tablename GROUP BY [datefield];

    Open query builder, click Totals on the ribbon Design tab. Access Help (or search web) has more info on using the query builder.
