Why are my Access Tables acting as if the Shift key is held down?

In my Access tables, when I click on a cell or in the middle of text I get a highlighted selection as if I was holding down Shift from another point. I really have no clue what triggers this and it doesn't effect any other application or even the vba code in my module. This has happened to me at least twice now, and I can usually get rid of it through exiting or resetting, but I'd like to know what is causing this and a better fix for it if anybody has an idea of what is going on.

    Thanks

I too get this. I tried pressing alt, ctl, shift to release this action and have never found a solution.
Somehow when editing a cell , access thinks the shift is down and wont un-hilight characters.

    Client Behavior Settings

Your answer is hidden in Options -> Client Settings...
Play around with settings, and the problem you are facing should hopefully go away.

I have attached settings on my machine. Hopefully that would help.

Thanks! I just quit Access and re-entered and it went away for now, but I'll refer back to this the next time it happens.
