I need a personal tutor to learn access. I need to speed up the learning.

I need to create this database today and I would like to hire a tutor. I would like to do a phone call or skype call (im in the USA). I will send money paypal. This should be a call less than 30 minutes. I want to be explained as quickly as possible and I do not have time to read books, watch videos, and then decipher how to do what I need to do.

I have a recipes that I type in excel, they are all similar and have the ingredients in a certain set of cells, such as c5 to c30. I would like to create a form on Access that has all the days of 1 week and drop down boxes to select recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, app, desert, and whatever else needed. The drop down will be the name and recipe pulled from excel files in a specific folder (those excel files I was talking about earlier.) +++ note that I am open to another way of doing this, but need to be explained how to do this also++++ Then when you pick all your meals for that week, you can generate a page that lists all the ingredients and calculates the total amount needed for that week. It separates then in to categories such as: Dairy, Dry, Fruits, Veggies... etc.

So can someone call me on the phone or use skype and explain this extremely fast learner, how to do these things. I imagine a 20 to 30 minutes call. I will pay with paypal and I am serious. I need someone good, I do not want to waste time. --- My background - Great with computer software, have a solid foundation in OOP and programmed in Java. So I will understand what we talk about no problem.

Please reply. I am asking for a 1 on 1 session with someone, and I do not want to type questions out. I want to ask them vocally. It will be faster and better for me.
Please do not send a link to the recipe form and database template on the Microsoft site. It is not what I am looking for. I need to make a specific database.

    Thank you in advance,

    Michael

You're probably better off paying someone to write the application for you.

Maybe. But I would need to be able to edit and add later. It will be tweaked and I want it tweaked by me. So it makes sense that I fast track learn Access.

I sense some urgency about the deployment of the application and for that reason get someone to develop it and deploy it. After that you can learn and tweak all you want without any time constraints.

Suggest you start with these two links.

they will probably be more beneficial than trying to talk to someone.
