Check if record exist

Hello guyz



I have 2 tables "used and received" and both of them have serial number ,I want text box inside "used" when I enter serial number tells me if this serial exist inside table of received or not??

Your help is greatly appreciated.

IsInRecv = Dlookup("[serial]","received","[serial]='" & txtBox "'")

thanks any way but it says : you have entered operand without operator
