Text formatting grayed out for reports in 2010

Text formatting grayed out for reports in 2010.

I’m told that in Access 2003 my client could choose a font ( in this case engineering symbols) while in a report. In 2010 the Text Formatting ribbon menu is grayed out.

    Any work around ?

Are you trying to choose a font while in Print Preview? AFAIK you can not do that. Access 2010 offers the ability to view reports in Report View where you can manipulate the report. Early versions of Access only have ability to Preview Report for printing.
