    Can I convert a 2010 database to 2007?

I have a .accdb Access 2010 (new laptop) database I want to work on in Access 2007 (old desktop) - but it won't let me. Says "you must have at least version 14.000"

But in 2010, when I do a File>Save database there aren't any other options other than .accdb.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks!

Remove macros and the options that are only available in 2010. An example of an option available in 2010 that is not available in 2007 would be Calculated fields at the table level.

    I'll give it a try.

I'm downloading Office 2007 Service Pack 3 right now.... says it has an Access update. Think that might help?

If I remove the macros and calculated fields, will I be able to put them back in 2007?

I don't think I have any calculated fields at table level, but I do have in a couple of queries.

Features new to Access 2010 will not work in Access 2007. Calculated fields in tables was introduced in 2010. There is not an option to create a calculated field in tables using Access 2007.

You can create macros in 2007. You may experience a problem running macros in 2007 that were created using Access 2010, even if the features within said macro are the same in both versions.

I recommend recreating the macros using 2007. It is best to use the earliest version to develop an app where multiple versions may be used to open an run it. The other option is to create version specific apps for multiple users.

One more thing to check is "Empty cells" in forms/reports, if you have arranged the controls in layout as provided by Access and later deleted the control. The empty cells are not supported in Access 2007

Thanks much, guys. Office SP3 didn't do anything, but no biggy. We'll only have 2, maybe 3 users so hopefully it won't be a big deal.

    I appreciate everyone's help!
