    Can't import to Linked Table

I've been importing a text file into a local table for months. Now we want to move it to the back end, but the import fails with this message.

When I convert it back to a local table it works like magic. I deal with linked tables all the time. I can't quite figure this out. The same thing happens whether I use an Access back end or a SQL Server back end.

    Thanks in advance,

    Papul

That message sounds more like you have a field set to a validation rule (or some restriction setting) Like [QTY] < 100.
Do you have any fields with VALIDATION RULE or ALLOW ZERO LENGTH?

No, just a primary key. As an identical local table this error does not occur.
