NOOB - moving controls in design view

Not a complete noob, but haven't used access in years. I've downloaded a template and now trying to customize it. VERY slowly getting stuff done through trial and error, but I really don't have time for that.

Current sticking point...I have a label and a text box that are apparently "linked" (I move one, and the other moves). For the moment, I want to move them independently so...

    1) how do I "unlink?"
    2) how do I "re-link?"

thanks for your help...I will most likely be annoying the forum often.

You can move them independently by clicking on the top right corner of either one and dragging .

Thanks a ton! It was top left, but pointed me in right direction.

It will be top-right if the form or report is set for Right-to-Left orientation.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    Duh!

Thank you, June7 - it would nice to use that as my excuse!
