    Subform Continuous Form Formatting

    Hello All,

Has anyone ran across a good guide/tutorial on formatting of subforms that are of the continuous form view. Specifically, I am hoping to be able to create two fields that are buttons for a "edit record" and "delete record" functionality that would appear on each row of the continuous form. I have seen screenshots where other users have accomplished this, but I have been unable to find a good resource showing how this was accomplished.

    Cheers

Why is this needed? What do you want to happen - open another form?

Really quite simple. Create a button control on the form in detail section. Code in Click event.

    Hi June7,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, there are a few instances where I would like the functionality of a button within a subform, one of them being to load another form. In the screenshot attached, I have shown one instance where there is a subform (under "drawings for this project") in continuous view where, when the user clicks "add tasks", they should be able to open a new form where they can define work tasks for each drawing (i.e. each line in the subform). I currently have the functionality that I would like working, but would like to use a button so that it has a more intuitive feel for the user.

When you add a button control to a form in design view, does it show up on the form in continuous view? For me the buttons that I add do not show up (probably because I am missing something obvious).

    Thanks
