Access2010 behaving differently on another computer

I was using Access2010 just fine until I physically moved in the enterprise and inherited a differenct PC with Access2010 on it.

This installation is doing things differently than they were done on my previous PC which makes me think there must be some settings I need to adjust. I would appreciate some help.

    Examples:
If I delete a table, the name remains on the Objects drop down box until I close the db and open it again.

I can't execute reports using a query as the data source.

The top menu bar behaves differently as well. When designing a query, I have to switch File to Home or whatever to be able to get the execute (exclaimation point) to appear.

I have a whole list of buggy things going on.

Any ideas as to what I may be missing and need to correct?

    Thanks

    Tom

Should have taken computer with you?

    Same operating system?

    Same issues with multiple databases?

    Perhaps reinstall Access.

If that doesn't correct, perhaps reinstall operating system.

Unfortunately no choice on the computer.
I will try reinstalling Access - thanks for the suggestions.

THe only really odd thing I see is

I can't execute reports using a query as the data source.

What does that mean? You can not double click a Report Object where the RecordSource is something like

    "SELECT * FROM tblSomething"

    ??????

    Can you elaborate?

In report design, I select a query as the data source.
I pull in the fields from the query onto the report that is under design.
I then switch the view from report design to report results and the report doesn't pull in any data.

What happens if you use SQL in your RecordSource field rather than a Query Name?

    "SELECT * FROM tblSomething"

Maybe there is an issue with your query and or Grouping? Just think maybe you should make sure there is a corruption issue with your Access install before trying to repair the computer.

I had issues with uninstall/reinstall of Access 2007 and 2010 couple years ago. Found this and really helped http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport...-products.aspx
