    :?: newbie...grand total?

forgive me for starting a new thread on something probably easy. but i have no idea what its actually called in order to shearch for it. im not coming up with anything...

i have an access program that i use at work, its time for quarterly reports and i need a grand total. instead of calculating this by hand i want to have access calculate this and put it in my report for me.

how can i get it to total all the material lbs and show this result?

    thanks

Without knowing the structure of your report it is hard to say for sure.

Assuming you have a field, Lbs, in your Detail section, one way would be to add an unbound textbox in the report footer section, and set the ControlSource property to:

    =Sum([Lbs])
