Emailing out of Access2013.

Can anyone discuss the ease or difficulty of emailing messages and attachments
out of Access2013?



I had an itty-bitty problem for Access2007 with Outlook 2007. There were times when
the process failed and it would not be until I reviewed the report that I noticed a
dropped email, or an unsuccessful email from the database. All in all, I gave the effort
a B but noticed there was a lot of handholding of the process.

Is the function, SendObject still a usable function or has the process been changed or enhanced?
Any limitations on attachment size? Has the message box become more editable and
able to accept formatting?

Automated emails are used in marketing campaigns.

Haven't seen 2013 but from what I hear about it I see no reason to 'upgrade' unless you want to get heavy into web database. AFAIK, 2013 drops more than it enhances, not considering web functionality.

If your procedure drops emails then there must be something wrong with the code and/or data. There has to be a reason for the 'failed' mailings.

If it is Mission critical, write more code to verify the process; check the Sent Items and or use Read Receipt, etc.
