Conversion from Access 2007 to Access2013.

Has anyone performed a complete conversion from 2007 to 2013 Web version of Access? We, my associates and I are trying to get our heads around some of the pitfalls to consider when performing the conversion. We took the backend of the 2007 version, created a DDL, moved the script to Azure, generated the dB without constraints and moved the data (1.5T).

We are now tackling the front end and wanted to ask the experts on any pitfalls to linking tables, creating the UI in Access and so on...!

Your time and consideration would be deeply appreciated. We are just starting the front end this week.

    Thanks!

    Jim

Are you aware of features dropped by Access 2013? Will you be losing functionality you are currently using?

We have not seen a list of features or functions retained, dropped or implemented! Most of our due diligence
has been on investigating the product, doing a cursory google search, a microsoft.com search and now forum. We do
intend to take a look at any references this website provides but wanted to throw the question out there. Maybe a
developer would warn us of any pitfalls, or applaud any success they have found with 2013.

We would like to get input so as to put together an appropriate project plan to move ahead. One of the developers
is touting HTML5/Java as opposed to Access 2013.

I guess we are looking for another set of eyes on this issue of Developing the initial application in Access/Azure and would appreciate any help along those lines. This application is for a county board with two school districts, a teacher population of about 450 and student population of about 8000. The app is for the teachers, principals and superintendents.

    Thanks!

    June7:

Do you have a URL point to a paper or list of functions, retained, dropped or new in Access2013? We do intend to
move to Access2013 WEbservice and provide our application as a PaaS!

    Thanks for your consideration!
