    Ucase

Hi all, new to the forum, have worked with access for a number of year, but not in the last 6 yrs. I down loaded MS office 2010 beta. Nice package. OK now for my problem. I create a report (grouping header) using =UCase(Left(Nz([author]),1)), It works perfect and looks great. On the next report I used the same (=UCase(Left(Nz([author]),1))) it works but repeats the first letter for each record. I can't figure out what I am missing or doing wrong. Compared properties. Help. Thanks in advance

On the Format tab of the property sheet for the Control involved way down at the bottom of the list is "Hide Duplicates". Is that what you were looking for?
