Object not found when using export spec

Using Access 2010 on Win 8

Trying to export a query to a text file. I need a TAB delimited no text delimiter.

If I use 'DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, "specTabNoQuote", "tmpQry", exportDir & "\" & filesRS(0), True' I get an error that states Access can not find the object ZZZ.txt. In other words, its taking the file name I'm giving the text file as the object I'm trying to export and ignoring the 'tmpqry' objevt. If I drop the specification name it works fine, but it give me a comma delimited file with quotes around the strings. I want tabs, no quotes.

Why is Access not taking my specification name as a parameter?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You want to use the Export Text File Wizard. Follow each step and somewhere along the line you will have the option to save your specification.Try this and see if it corrects the problem!

Edit the spec name, and change its settings to " tabs, no quotes".
Usu. the only way to edit is to start the import/link wizard, load the spec, edit, save. , but dont continue the import.
