    Instant Search in Navigation Bar

I have a Continuous Form with the Instant Search box in the Navigation Bar at the bottom. Is there a way to have the search start at the beginning of each record instead of within the text. I want to use this as a way for the user to quickly get to the record to edit. Thanks, Eddie

Don't understand. It searches the entire dataset and goes to the first field of first record with match, if there is one.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    Eddie,

I know what you mean. (I think.) You're talking about that standard Access search box at the bottom of the screen, to the right of the Navigation buttons, aren't you? That thing sucks!

The only good solution is to create your own custom search form. I found a simple, free solution here:
    http://allenbrowne.com/ser-62.html

This guy provides a sample and all the different search options: text, numbers, dates, beginning of field, middle of field, etc. I'm sure it's what you want. At least, it can help you create what you want, just by following his example.

    HTH,
