    help with data type criteria

    Hi all,

I have a DB that functions with linked excel tables. In my queries they all have the same criteria. to find values greater than 0 or >"0". In one of my tables, however, the data type comes through as "text" when it should be "number". I have tried formatting the cells in the excel spreadsheet that is linked to "number" but some cells still come through as "text". I know that sometimes you get the flag on the spreadsheet that says there is a "number stored as text" but this is not the case here. There are no flags. What could be wrong with my spreadsheet? Also, the reason I use linked tables is that the data constantly refreshes and I am trying to save myself the extra steps to replace them.

I have attached the two tables and the db. The problem occurs with the BCWeeklySchedule-Butch.

Thanks for any help you can give.

you can change the data type in a query using the cint or cdbl function on the field then apply the criteria of >0 to it
