I completely new to MS Access 2007. Nevertheless i have in mind to create a database to administrate school reports at my school (i'm a teacher ;-).
For the database design i considered two main tables: one i call Person and the other i call schoolreport.
The table Person have to contain: first name, second name, birthday, profession (job), residence, birthplace, grade of school (class).
The table schoolreport have to contain: subjects (Fachkunde, Rechnen, Zeichnen, Sprache, Gesellschaft, Semesterarbeit, Sport), marks (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, besucht), semester (1. Sem, 2. Sem, ..., 8. Sem).
With the table Person I have no troubles, but with the table schoolreport a lot. I have no idea how i can design a good and efficient database in this case. should i split the table schoolreport in 'sub-tables'?
any hint is welcome!!
