2013- Access recapitalizes the first character of field names

I have a very experienced colleague who has Access 2013 and has the following issue:

    For some reason, Access keeps
recapitalizing the first character of the field names when I save, close,
and reopen the table in design view! Has anyone else run into this? I
just spent several hours lower casing prefixes only to discover after I ran
a routine to extract the field names that they had been recapitalized!
I've fiddled with turning off Autocorrect, but that seems to do nothing
    positive for me.
Has anyone experienced it? Anyone have suggestions to turn this feature OFF?

    Are they using any plugins?

I have no idea and I have not looked at 2013 yet but...

What about "Name AutoCorrect Options"? Maybe there is some VBA, a relationship with referential integrity, or something in a system table that has the name of the object.

    Access Options>Current Database>Name AutoCorrect Options

    How about a decompile/recompile?

I dunno man.. Never heard of such a problem. Little bit of GoogleWebs research I did only found something with VS... not Access. Is it just the one database or all databases?
