I want to know which form is activated of several forms appearing now

    Hello! I'm not a programmer.
In my daily work I am using Microsoft Access in which usually several forms are
    opened.
During my work when I fill in ,for example, check_in data I go to the check_in form and then
for shopping data I go to the shopping form, and so on.

Since I know the key-board is more covenient than mouse, I almost use key-board
and for that I have to know which is the activated form now.

When I was working with access 2000 (operating system Microsoft Windows 2000),it was quite easy for me to find which form is activated.

Because after I selected red color for activated title bar through Microsoft Windows desktop property, the title bar of the activated form in my access 2000 became red.

But when I've come to use access 2010 (operating system Microsoft Windows 7) I've found the color of the activated form's title bar doesn't change.

In some web site I found I can show in a message box the name of activated form by visual basic application writing screen.ActiveForm.name but in this case I must take actions (for example to press some keys) each time.

Default access 2010 has three color options, silver, blue and black and I tried all three colors but it was very difficult to tell which form is activated in a glance because the title bar color difference between activated form and inactivated one is small.

Another web site told me I can modify access 2010's ribbon by writing xml
sentences but I don't know how to paint activated form.

    Anyone, please give me advice.

    Thank you, Orange.

I'm interested in "Of course it’s much simpler to just set the color scheme using the GUI".
Since I don't know GUI,I'm going to check it.

    I've got it!!!!!!

    1. As for window's color scheme, I selected one out of four high-contrast themes.

2.Then I clicked on the link to window's color in the bottom row

3.There I took red color for Active Title Bar

Thus, my active form is shining in red!

Only one small trouble is the background color of forms became white only.

Before some text box had yellow background and some combo box blue as set by database's program
    but it's OK.

    Thank you, Orange and accessforums

    Glad myou have it working.

    I don't have Windows7. I see that office 2010 has 3 color schemes Blue/Silver/Black.

    Where exactly did you select/change

Beyond adjusting themes, you can create a default form that has various controls. With this default form you can set the properties of the form and properties of the various controls. After you set the properties of each control, you can "Set Control Defaults" under the "Design" tab for the controls.

With that, you can name and save your form. Now go to Object Designers under Access Options. You can select your new default settings form using the pulldown option in "Form Template". You can do the same with reports too.

As long as your form is in the database and is selected as "Form Template", any new forms/controls created will use the properties of said form/controls.

Your question :Where exactly did you select/change

    Is this answer ?
To change the color scheme click on the File tab to access Backstage View and click on Options.
In Options the General section should open by default…use the dropdown menu next to Color Scheme to change it to Silver, Blue, or Black then click OK.

    Thank you for your advice.

When I create a new form in a new database it will be helpful but in my daily work I have to operate the existing database.
