Can an Access database-based user interface be sold?

Hi, my name is cyrus and I am not a programmer, but through Access was able to create useful applications for myself and others in managerial positions for around 20 years (since Access 2.0).
One of these is a program to assist any executive in viewing product and company info in a meaningful way by pulling ERP data and reformatting it. I found it very useful even at a different company.
This is definitely useful for the mid-market ERP's.


I humbly wonder if any money can be made from this?

The IRS and your state, as well as the state and municipality that consumes your product will want to be involved. To answer the question, "Can it be sold?", sure. Can money be made? Maybe.

Have you looked into packaging your product? Securing your code and protecting your interest is a large endeavor and you will need to service the product for a predetermined amount of time for a predetermined OS with a predetermined minimum requirements.

Probably easier and less taxing to be a consultant and provide open source. OR do like everyone else and build mobile apps...
