On a continuous form I would like type a value in an unbound text box and click a button next to it then it does a filter of the records on the continuous form showing me all the records that contain the value I typed into the unbound text box. I would also like a clear filter button that will bring the form back to its original state of showing all the records again. How do I do that? The video from what I remember was confusing because he used a combo box.

Doesn't matter if textbox or combobox. Set the search box to Null or empty string then requery the form.
