Comparing positive to negative values.

I'm doing a bank-rec database, so on the one hand I'm comparing positive debits, to negative credits. How do I query to get, say, "Bank1 -$1000, Bank2 $1000"

you can use the absolute value function to turn a negative value into a positive

so let's say your two fields (in your query) are bank1 and bank2

you can have a third value that's

bank1conv: abs(bank1)
