    Understanding the Form width property

In Design View changes to the form width property reflect on the form and vice versa. But if I have the width at 9.5 vs. 15, then I go into Form view, I do not see any noticeable difference. What is happening here?

Are you saying that in Form Design View you change the width from 15 to 9.5, but then when you then go into Form View you can perceive no change? If this is correct, I suspect the problem is that you have one or more Controls on the Form that a located beyond the 9.5 portion of the Form. Access will not allow a Form to be re-sized, in Design View, if Controls are located in an area you try to eliminate. If you go back into Design View, I suspect that you'll find thatr the 9.5 has been changed to something else, possibly the original 15.

Also make sure in File/Access Options/Current Database that you're not set to tab view.

Good point! I've been changing the Document Windows Option to Overlapping Windows for so long, first thing when starting a new db, that I do it without thinking! Wish I could change that option permanently!
