Problems When Moving Forms to Navigation Form

    Hi,

I Currently have 3 forms that I would Like to add to a Navigation Form.
My Problem is where I have referenced to a field in the form ie. Forms!Form1!cboName
do all of these references need to be changed? ie. Forms!NavigationForm!Form1!cboName
or is there some way around it?

This is why I don't use navigation forms. I find them more difficult to work with. Yes, I think you do need to change references.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Is there another way to select the different forms other than selecting them from the navigation Pane?
I want this area to be unavailable for users without the Developer Access Level?

Re: Problems When Moving Forms to Navigation Form

Make the navigation button invisible if the user should not have access

If you do not plan on using SharePoint you could build your own navigation form. I have always referred to them as menus. Start with a new, blank, unbound form. Disable the close button for the form and add some control buttons to open the necessary forms.

Securing Access post-2003 versions is not simple and is a common topic in forum. Can disable the navigation pane and ribbon with database settings but be aware that holding the shift key while opening db will override those settings and everything is available. Also, F11 will expand/close the navigation pane.

File > Options > CurrentDatabase > choose settings
